  • Has been nominated for CMA's Musician of the Year Award nine times throughout the 90's.
     

  • Received Guitar Player Magazines readers poll award for Best Pedal and Lap steel in 1992 and again in 1993.
     

  • Received Music Row magazines Top Ten Album All Star award for Pedal Steel Guitar in 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, and 99.
